How to start a business with AI, in practice

You have an idea, a skill, or something you want to sell. AI will not have the idea for you, but it can do much of the work that stops people from starting: the website, the first contacts, the invoices, the memory of what was said. Here is how to go about it, step by step.

What AI really changes when you start

Starting a business is first a long list of small tasks: finding a name, putting a site online, getting a presentable e-mail address, looking for customers, sending a quote, invoicing, following up. None of them is hard, but together they eat the evenings and weekends of anyone starting alone.

AI agents are programs that carry out those tasks from an instruction in plain language. You say “a page presenting my pottery classes, with a contact form”, and the page is written and published. You say “25 cafés in Lausanne that could sell my mugs”, and you get a list of verified contacts with a first e-mail drafted for each one.

What does not change: you decide what to sell, to whom and at what price. You also review whatever commits your business. Agents can be wrong; a good tool tells you so instead of inventing a result.

Where to begin: five steps, in order

  1. Write your offer in one sentence. “Handmade stoneware mugs, sold to cafés in western Switzerland.” That sentence will be used everywhere: site, outreach, pitch.
  2. Put one page online. One clear page beats a full site that is never finished. It must say what you do, for whom, and how to reach you.
  3. Get an address in your name. A domain and a matching e-mail address make your business credible from the first message.
  4. Find your first ten customers. Not a hundred: ten. A targeted search, a personal message, then a follow-up.
  5. Invoice properly from the first sale. A clear invoice with the right details and a simple way to pay is part of your image.

That is exactly the order of the MyAiCompany first-steps guide: publish a page, add a customer and invoice them, then launch a customer search.

What MyAiCompany does

MyAiCompany gives you a “company” run by AI agents and hosted in Switzerland. It looks like a city: each campus is a department. The Studio builds your site, the Market finds your customers, the Town Hall keeps customers, products, orders and invoices, the Plant handles the site, the domain and e-mail addresses, and the Library remembers everything you upload.

The principle never changes: you say what you want in a three-field form, the price shows first, and nothing starts without your approval. At the end you get a report you can read in thirty seconds, and your company keeps the result for next time.

The subscription costs CHF 20 a month (≈ US$24 · €21) and credits 2,000 maic every month (1 maic = one cent). A quote is a ceiling: only what was used is charged, the rest goes back to your balance. What you do not spend stays yours, with no time limit.

What MyAiCompany does not do

A MyAiCompany company is not a legal entity. The platform incorporates nothing and handles no formality for you: no commercial register, no VAT registration, no social-insurance filing. You trade in your own name, or in the name of an entity you set up yourself.

For a holder based in Switzerland, the Your obligations page summarises the main formalities, and your company warns you when the paid invoices in the Town Hall get close to a legal threshold. Outside Switzerland, the platform gives no information on local rules: you remain responsible for them. It is general information, not advice.

What stays yours, always

Your domain is registered in your name and you can leave with it. Your site's code is in your repository, exportable in one click with all your data. Your customers pay you on your own account: the money never goes through the platform. And if you stop, the account closes in one click, with 30 days to change your mind.

Want to see it before signing up? The prototype opens without an account, and the demo company is a real site published by the platform.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to code to start a business with AI?

No. On MyAiCompany everything is asked in plain language in a three-field form. Your site still has real code, in your repository, and it belongs to you.

How much does it cost to start?

CHF 20 a month, with 2,000 maic credited every month. Publishing a page costs 60 maic, sending an invoice 8 maic, a search for 25 customers 270 maic at most. A domain costs the registry price plus our margin, shown before you buy.

Does MyAiCompany register my company?

No. The platform incorporates nothing and files nothing (commercial register, VAT, social insurance). It gives you the tools to run your business; the formalities stay with you. See Your obligations.

Can the agents make mistakes?

Yes. They tell you so, and they never invent a result. You review what commits your business, such as a quote, an invoice or an outreach e-mail, before it goes out.

Where is my data hosted?

In Switzerland. You can export everything in one click and close your account at any time.
